Issue scheduling MSAccess file via scheduler

Specs: Windows 2008
I am sorry I am new to this forum. If there is a thread discussing the same issue please guide me. I have multiple access files running throughout the day. Scheduling the execution of these files on Windows 2003 was easy. I would create a task in task in task scheduler and provide the complete path name and it works. We are now migrating to Windows 2008 and I have had a bunch of issues. I would like to list things I tried and issues I faced. It would great if any of you can help me out.

1) I tried to create a task by simply pointing the task to the filename like Start a program > Office.exe path. Additional arguments > C:\Access\Test.accdb

When I click and run it, it runs, I can see the .laccdb file hence I understand the file is open. But the .laccdb never goes away. and hence the required files are not extracted.

2) I created a batch script with just C:\Access\Test.accdb. When I run the batch script manually, it works great. When I create a task in task scheduler and then run it, same issue as Step 1.

3) I then modified the batch script to look like "Office.exe path" C:\Access\Test.accdb. When I run the batch script manually, it works great. When I create a task in task scheduler and then run it, same issue as Step 1.

4) I modified the batch script as START "Office.exe path" C:\Access\Test.accdb EXIT. But again, when I run the batch script manually, it works great. When I create a task in task scheduler and then run it, same issue as Step 1.

I'm not familiar with Win08, but are you calling the batch file via the cmd window?

c:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe /c <batch filespec>

Thanks Paul. I tried the above option, but did not work. When I close my access file, I get an error notification "Windows could not find the file at "Access file location"". Can this be one of the reasons the jobs are failing? I tried to disable DDE refreshes, but the problem exists.
