I'm trying to set a condition where if personA is on any row (of a specific column), then the $ amount (from the same row, different column) they generated would tally with the rest. There are two agents. Is there a way?

Hi, I am not sure what you mean by

There are two agents

Also what do you mean bywould tally with the rest. Are the two agents Person A and Person B, and if so do they appear on only one row or are they on multiple rows.

Can you you give an example of what you are trying to achieve.

Regards

Would SUMIF work for you? This formula would return 26 (11 + 15) from the data below:

=SUMIF(A1:A6,"=Bob",B1:B6)

A B 1 Bob 11 2 Sue 12 3 Steve 13 4 Sue 14 5 Bob 15 6 Steve 16SUMIF

Adds the cells specified by a given criteria.

Syntax

SUMIF(range,criteria,sum_range)

Range is the range of cells you want evaluated.

Criteria is the criteria in the form of a number, expression, or text that defines which cells will be added. For example, criteria can be expressed as 32, "32", ">32", "apples".

Sum_range are the actual cells to sum.
