I need a calculation as follows:

If the number is < 2 it should be 24.40, if it is > than 2 it should be 24.40 + difference * 10Example

If the number is 3 forumla: 24.40 + (1*10) = 34.40If the number is 4 formula: 24.40 + (2*10) =44.40

etc.

This will evaluate to 24.40 for A1 <= 2 and do your calculation for A1>2: =IF(A1<2, 24.4, 24.4+(A1-2)*10)

Sorry you're right, it should be if it is less than or equal to 2

ugh sorry, <=2 should = 24.40

two ways of achieving this that I am aware of =max(24.40,24.40+(A1-2)*10)

or

=if(A1<2,24.40,24.40+(A1-2)*10)

As long as something completely difference does not occur when the value is equal to 2 the above will work. if something different happens, then you will need to use another if statement to hand that condition.

=if(A1=2,(place vbalue of 2 formula),(place one of the formulas from above))

Wow a lot has happened since I started typing this.

AWESOME!!! thanks so much this worked!
