If a Range Contains a specific text, return adjacent cell

January 26, 2019 at 12:01:35
Specs: Windows XP
What I have...
Column A1:A10 = NAME
Column B1:C10 = SPOT OWNED (random 1-10)
Column D = SPOT LIST (in order 1-10)
Column E = BLANK

What I need...
if a cell in range "B1:C10" matches D1 text, then return data from adjacent "A" cell to E1
And so on until column E as a name for each D cell

I don't understand your data layout.

Range B1:C10 contains 20 cells. Is that the range that needs to be searched for the text in D1? If so, are there only 10 values in those 20 cells? Column A is only "adjacent" to Column B so I'm a bit confused.

How does the phrase "D1 text" relate to "random 1-10"? Are you searching for matching numbers or matching text strings?

Please clarify what your data looks like.
