identify each sunday in a month

I have a spreadsheet with data in a column for one month. each day has a data point. I need to calculate a weekly average for each week (a week being from sunday through Saturday). Thus I have week 1 in a cell, week 2, week 3 and week 4 where I calculate an avg of the data. Also, each month has either 3 or 4 full weeks and each week start date needs to be identified. As mentioned above I hav the dates in a column adjacent to the days in another column adjacent to the data. Can someone help with this? Thanks.

I'm a bit confused by your subject line vs. what is in your actual post.

If you simply want to identify which dates are Sunday, use something like this formula next to your dates:

Review the Excel Help files on the WEEKDAY function for more information.

There are other Date and Time functions that might be helpful.

Enter Date and Time Functions in the Excel Help search field for a list.

Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.
