Specs: Windows XP
I have set up calendars in excel. I would like to tab through one month then to the next but because the months are side by side the tabs run straight across the page. Tab order could correct this so that I could complete one month then mopve to the next.

Just so you know this is what the Tab key does:

Tab:

Moves one cell to the right in a worksheet.
or
Moves between unlocked cells in a protected worksheet.
or
Moves to the next option or option group in a dialog box.
or
Shift+Tab moves to the previous cell in a worksheet or the previous option in a dialog box.
or
Ctrl+Tab switches to the next tab in dialog box.
or
Ctrl+Shift+Tab switches to the previous tab in a dialog box.

To rearrange the tabs, simply Click & HOLD, then drag the tab.

When you click on the tab for Sheet 1 and hold it,
there should appear a small black down arrow on the left side of the tab
when you see the arrow, simply move your mouse so the arrow appears between tabs for Sheet 2 and Sheet 3,
when you release the mouse button the tab will snap between Sheet 2 and Sheet 3 so the new tab order will be Sheet 2, Sheet 1, Sheet 3.

If that does not work, then try this:

I'm sorry, I did not make myself clear. I actually meant the tab order within one page of a spreadsheet.

I actually meant the tab order within one page of a spreadsheet.

Now, I don't understand.
You'll need to explain a bit more.
If your not talking about the Sheet Tabs, what tabs are you talking about?

I'm confused too..

By "Tab Key order" do you mean what cell is selected when you press the tab key?

If so, please explain - in detail - what is happening now and what you want to do.

Keep in mind that we can't see your spreadsheet from where we're sitting, so you have to provide all of the details.

Still don't know what you mean.

Are you talking about the Ribbon Tabs at the top of the worksheet?
IE: Home, Insert, Page Layout, Formulas, Data, etc. etc.

EDIT Added:

OK, I get it now.
You have an Excel Calendar Program
and all the Months are on one sheet,
not on multiple sheets, one month per sheet,
and you want to change the sequence when you press the Tab Key
and go from section to section.

Did you write the program or download it?

I have set up calendars in excel.

Did you write the program or download it?

because the months are side by side the tabs run straight across the page through two months and then moving to the next line

So we know you have 2 months in each section.

When you press the Tab key, what happens? Where do you go?
You start at cell A1 and go to cell J1 or something similar?

What other processing is going on within the program?

Why can't you just Cut/Paste the sections/months into a more
amenable form?

This solution uses a Defined Name, give it a try.

For this example we will start at cell A1
then we want to Tab to Cell B2
then we want to Tab to Cell C3
then we want to Tab to Cell D4
then we want to Tab to Cell E5
then back to A1

First:
Select the Second cell B2, then while holding down the CRTL key
click your way through our range of cells in the order you wish,
So you would select C3, D4, E5 and finally ending with the first cell A1
all while holding down the CTRL key.

Next:
Name this range.
On the ribbon select the Formula Tab
Select Define Name
In the Name Box of the popup window enter a name like MYTABS
Check Refers to: box at the bottom of the popup window
it should show something like:

=Sheet1!$B$2,Sheet1!$C$3,Sheet1!$D$4,Sheet1!$E$5,Sheet1!$A$1

Click OK

Now select cell A1.
Just above cell A1 is the Name Box, it should be showing cell A1
click on the arrow and select your named range, MYTABS, from the dropdown

Now when you press the Tab Key you cycle your way thru your range.

See how that works for you.
