I want to rank a row of 30 number B3:B33

Specs: Windows XP
I want to rank a row of 30 number B3:B33 and have their rank appear in C3:C33 in descending order.
=RANK(C3,$B$3:$B$33)
$ = absolute reference

Do I need to paste the formula in all cells in Row C?

I believe you mean that you want to rank a row</s. column of 30 numbers B3:B33.

Excel Rows are designated by numbers, Columns are designated by letters.

Enter this in C3 to rank your Column B values in descending order. The highest value will be given the lowest rank, the lowest value will be given the highest rank.

=RANK(B3,$B$3:$B$33,1)
