Is there some reason that you continue to leave out the Column letters and Row numbers? It's really hard for us to create formulas for you if we don't know where your data is.Just to move this along, I'll add my own Column letters and Row numbers. In the future, we may not be able to help you unless you do that yourself.Input Data``` A B C 1 Work Points Staff 2 String 10 ABC 3 Search 20 XYZ 4 USA 8 DEF 5 YUP 3 -- 6 IND 4 XYZ 7 AU 8 ABC ```Reporting Table``` A B C 8 Staff Total Stories Total points 9 ABC 2 18 10 XYZ 2 27 11 DEF 1 8 ```Based on my Column letters and Row numbers enter this in B9 and drag it down:=COUNTIF(\$C\$2:\$C\$7,A9)Based on my Column letters and Row numbers enter this in C9 and drag it down:=SUMIF(\$C\$2:\$C\$7,A9,\$B\$2:\$B\$7)BTW...How do you get 27 Total Points for XYZ? As far as I can tell, your Input data should result in 24 Total Points for XYZ.message edited by DerbyDad03

First, a posting tip: Please click on the How-To link at the end of this post and read the instructions on how to format example data so that it is easier for us to read. Then edit/repost your data so that the columns line up correctly. Don't forget to use Column letters and Row numbers as shown in the example.

Hi All,I have team 3 members i want show their work status in graphical it will change dynamicallyin preview table showing perfect```Team members ABC XYZ DEF ```Work assign to them StringSearchUSA and so onPointsBased upon the complexity of work each work assigned some pointsfor example If task is very complex point shows 20if task is complex point shows 10if task is easy point shows 3``` Raw Data Work Points Staff String 10 ABC Search 20 XYZ USA 8 DEF YUP 3 -- IND 4 XYZ AU 8 ABC In Above example staff worked and total points they got Reporting table Staff Total Stories Total points ABC 2 18 XYZ 2 27 DEF 1 8 ```Here i need : In above example for "YUP" i didn't mention staff nameIf i mention staff name as "DEF" automatically "1" should add in total stories so Total stories =2( in second table)If i mention staff name as "XYZ " or "ABC" automatically "1" should add in Total stories so Total stories =3 ( in second table)Based upon work assigned to team member automatically i need to get Total pointsas shown in second table For exampleABC and DEF worked on two tasks but total points are differentHere i am looking, Automatically story points should add based on work assign to them in second tableexampleABC work on two task as shown in first table, based on that automatically points should add in second tableif i assign one of task of "ABC" to other team "DEF "member in first table , automatically points should go down to ABC(second table) at the same time Total points of "DEF "should increase (second table)Basically second table is for ReportingThanks & RegardsSatya

I'm still confused by your data layout. I could take a guess at what your data looks like, but if I get it wrong, I'll have wasted my time (and yours) by coming up with a solution that won't fit your needs.First, you did not include column letters or row numbers as shown in the instructions.Second, in your second table, I see numbers under the word "Total" and numbers under the word "Stories". Is that correct?Third, what do you mean by "here i need to get points also"?message edited by DerbyDad03
