Specs: Windows Vista
If I uninstall microsoft office which I never use, will it affect my windows vista laptop in any way. I have never used it, i only use my laptop to send and receive e-mail, forward e-mails, photos and music, and to surf the net. I am not computer literate so still learning. I need to free up diskspace, but I am scared I may uninstall something important, I would be grateful for your advice in terms I can understand....thank you.

If you don't use microsoft outlook, you can uninstalll it.
But i dont think that office takes a lot of space. There is no point of removing it...
how much space do you need?

He wasn't referring just to Microsoft Outlook. he was referring to the entire Microsoft Office suite, and that does take up quite a fair amount of disk-space (around 700MB for Office 2007 full install).

If you use Windows Mail for email, you can uninstall the entire Microsoft Office suite.
But if you're using Outlook for email, uninstall everything except that.
