I am trying to print an excel workbook with multiple pages. I would like to print them in the same order as they are on the tabs on the bottom of the workbook. It will not print them in the correct order as the tabs. I need some help.

A workbook doesn't have "pages", it has "sheets" (at least 1).

Depending on how much data is in each sheet, each sheet might print multiple pages.

With that terminology in mind, please explain in more detail what you are trying to do and how you are trying to do it.

Keep in mind that we can't see your workbook from where we're sitting, so you'll have to explain your situation in detail.

I have multiple sheets in my Excel Workbook.

I have each sheet in the print order I would like in the bottom tabs.

When I go to print Entire Workbook, it prints in an order different from the order of the order that I have the tabs.

Thank you!

What version of Excel are you using? I tried this in 2003 and 2010 and had no problem printing the sheets in the same order as the tabs.

Have you tried Print Preview to see if they preview in the same order as the tabs? Just curious as to whether it's a print driver issue.

Version is 2010.

I think when I made the workbook, I made the workbook and changed the order of the tabs after.

Many of them will print in order, but then a group of the sheets will print out of order, then it will come back and print the remainder of them.

Did you do what I suggested and view the printout in Print Preview?

I can't duplicate your issue in any version of Excel: 2003, 2010 or even 2008 on a Mac.

If I sent you an email address via Private Message would you be able to send me a copy of the workbook? You can remove any confidential data if you need to.

I'm pretty sure the problem can be solved with a Macro, but I like to see the workbook before I offer any code.

After I go to PRINT - I then go under SETTINGS on the PRINT page - I then choose PRINT ENTIRE WORKBOOK - then I chose SHOW PRINT PREVIEW on that page, and it all is in the correct order as the tabs are at the bottom of my workbook.

It definitely does not print in the same order as the PRINT PREVIEW shows (not reverse order either). Again - I think it might print them in the order that I first created them, which is not the same order as I need the tabs.

I could email you a copy of the document if I had an email.

Thanks!!
