I need an excel formula that will add 90 days to adate if another cell says yes or no.

Example

Column B has a Yes or a No

Column C has a date

column E needs to add 90 days to the date in Column C if the answer in column B is a no

What do you want returned if Column B doesn'tcontain "No"? If you don't tell the formula what to return, it will return the word FALSE.Assuming you want a blank cell for anything other than No, try this:

=IF(B1="No",C1+90,"")

Be sure to format the cells in Column E so that they display a date.

=IF(B:B="Yes",C:C+90,C:C+0) copy paste this to any cell in the E row, it should output the result in the cell in the E row. now it display both dates tho..

re: " copy paste this to any cell in the E row"E is a column, not a row.

re: "=IF(B:B="Yes",C:C+90,C:C+0)"OP wants to add 90 if Column B contain No, not Yes.

In addition, why force Excel to add 0 to the original value? It would be more efficient to use:

=IF(B:B="No",C:C+90,C:C)

Yes, the result will be the same, but adding zero is a waste of resources and makes the formula harder to read. We could write all sorts of formulas that will return the "same result" but we should always strive to use the most efficient methods.
