How to see the default grid excel 2010 after painting cells

September 19, 2012 at 14:59:51
Specs: Windows 7
I want to see the grid lines after I paint a block of cells. When I paint the block the default gridlines disappear.
I do not want to recreate all the gridlines again as a border. It is a large spreadsheet,,,
Any idea on how to get them there...
Thank you!

Try this:

Click the Microsoft Office button
Click on the Excel Options button to bring up the Excel Options dialog box (at the bottom of window)
Click on the Advanced button in the left hand pane
Scroll down to the section: Display Options for this Worksheet
At the bottom of this section there should be a drop box labeled: Gridline Color
Click on the box and select Black as the color.

Don't think the above will solve your problem.
Whenever I color cells, I always have to apply borders
to get the grid lines back.
Not sure there is a solution, except for maybe some VBA code.

Thank you very much for your response. Unfortunately as you suspected it did not work out..I guess I will have to spend the time doing all the borders...
Thank you again!
