What did you name the new template? Does it have a .dot extension?

I have a valid Template file. I have just forgotten how to get it to show up on the NEW screen when creating a file.

See if you can extrapolate how to do it from this example:

Essentially you create the new template, save it as template (obviously). Then delete the normal.dot default. (I'd save it some somewhere safe incase of need to restore it...).

Then rename your version as normal.dot and that's it - more or less if I interpret the link's content?

In the past I seem to recall simply modifying the current default normal.dot and that's all. But also ensured I saved a copy of the original normal.dot for safety...

Otherwise any templates I made I simply included in the templates folder, and selected to use whichever whenever...
