'[c:\MyFolder\MySecondFolder\MyBook.xls]MySheetName'!$A$1

this path will bring any data that is withing the remote cell to your local workbook

re: "which consists of 5 workbooks in each excel sheet"

You can't have 5 workbooks in each sheet.

You can have 5 sheets in each workbook, but not 5 workbooks in each sheet.

A "workbook" is an Excel file that consists of 1 or more sheets.

What do you really have?

Why don't you want to use Move and Copy?

Hai ,

I have 5 to 10 Sheets in a workbook as such i have about 10 workbooks,so i want all the sheets in each workbook come into a single workbook which consists of all the sheets in each workbook.

Since i have "N"number of files consisting of diffrent workbooks, so even if i use "move or copy" of sheets it is taking time.

Help me out of this

Thanks,

Chandan

You do know that you can select all of the sheets in a workbook and copy them to another workbook all at the same time, right?

With the first tab selected, press the Shift key and click the last tab to select all of the sheets.

Right-Click and Copy all the sheets to the destination workbook.

Your other option is to use a macro such as the one found here:

If you Google macro to combine workbooks or something similar, you'll find lots of VBA options to consolidate workbooks.
