Solved How to import the first row of a sheet to another in excel

Specs: Windows 7
I have one sheet that I want to give me an overview of what the other sheets say. I only need the second row from each sheet as that will give me the most updated info, but I can't find what formula I need to accomplish that.

The only way I can think of is to use a Macro,
unfortunately, my Macro skills are just above nil.

But here is a site that may offer something you can use:

Maybe I'm missing something, but why won't a simple SheetName!CellReference formula work?

Assumptions, modify as required:

1 - Sheet1 is your summary sheet
2 - Sheet1!Row 1 contains Column headings
3 - Sheet2, Sheet3, etc. contain your data

In Sheet1!A2 enter:

In Sheet1!A3 enter:

Continue down Column A until all of your sheets have been referenced.

Select the entire range of formulas and drag them to the right as far as required.

If Row 2 of the various sheets are of different lengths, enhance the formula to return a blank cell if a cell in Row 2 is empty and then drag the formula as far right as the longest Row 2 requires...

I can provide a macro if required, but I don't see a need for one - unless I'm missing some detail of your requirements.

Thanks for your reply. Your assumptions were correct and what you said looked like it should work, but for some reason I couldn't get that formula to work. So I looked over it again, I had made a mistake while I was putting that formula in, so after I corrected that I was able to get it to work.

Thanks again.
