How can I give a tab in Excel a running total. So when I go into Excel and I have 12 tabs looking at me and each sheet there is a COUNTA formula counting each box. How can I get the total from each sheet to appear in one tab which is easy to view?
Please help!

You seem to be asking 2 different things:

How can I give a tab in Excel a running total.

This sounds (to me) like you want to SUM all of the individual COUNTA's to get a total.

How can I get the total from each sheet to appear in one tab

This sounds (to me) like you want to see each individual total on one sheet.

In any case, to SUM the totals:

=Sheet2!A1+Sheet3!A1+Sheet4!A1+Sheet5!A1

or

=SUM(Sheet2!A1,Sheet3!A1,Sheet4!A1,Sheet5!A1)

To see each total, it's just:

=Sheet2!A1
