re: "let say i have a number in all column from C10 to C30"

I assume you mean all rows from C10 to C30.

C is a single column, 10 to 30 are the rows.

re: "example in C10 number is 12345.
i want formula in C10 =(12345/12)*5
"

I'm not sure what you are trying to do. You can't have a number and a formula in a cell at the same time.

You could put your numbers in Column C and your formulas in Column D:

In D10 you could put =(C10/12)*5 and drag it down to D30.

Is that what you are trying to do?

If you really need to change the numbers in Column C without using another column, there are ways to do that using PasteSpecial so let us know.

BTW...you don't need the parenthesis. Just use =C10/12*5

sorry.. yup its a row

to be clear....

in C10 to C30 i already have a number.
example : C10 number is 2500
C11 number 12500
C12 number is 8000
i want formula every number in the cell from C10 to C30 =xxxxx/12*5
if i put this formula =C10/12*5 and drag it down, result in C11 will be the same amount as result in C10 (1041.67)
suppose result in C11 is 5,208.33

please help, if excel can make my job easier.
i no need to put every cell =xxxxx/12*5

As I said, you can"t have a formula and a number in the same cell at the same time.

Follow these steps:

Put =C10/12*5 in D10 and drag it down. This will calculate your values and they will be in Column D.

Select D10:D30 and do a Ctrl-c to Copy them.

Select C10:C30 and click on Edit...PasteSpecial

Click the circle next to Values, click OK.

This will paste the calculated values (not the formulas) from D10:D30 into C10:C30

Delete the values in D10:D30
