This is Thunderbird problem: error occurred while sending email..."relay not permitted - please use auth". I have tried everything even deleted the email address and recreated it. This message will not disappear. Any suggestions please. Pardon if I selected the wrong category and subcategory. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Hi Johnw thanks for responding. I did change my authentication setting, but I really relied on guess work so I chose: Password transmitted insecurely. Not sure which setting is the correct one but it seems to be working fine as I managed to send my draft email without any comebacks...so far. Thanks for your assistance. Really appreciated. I'm slowly getting the neck of Thunderbird but still wondering if there isn't anther program that might be more user friendly. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
"might be more user friendly"
Hi again Dawie, I use TB & find it perfect.I have all these email clients installed & up & running, nothing to stop you trying them as well. Just a matter of finding the one that suits your skill level.

I have come across another snag. The emails in the "TRASH" bin in my default program can be opened by a click, but the emails in program B, when I click on the email, the page changes to a blank white page. The settings are identical. Secondly, how can I transfer my contacts form Windows Live Mail 2012 to TB. When was the last time you did something for the first time?
Switching from Windows Mail or Windows Live Mail to Thunderbird
