Is there a maximum size for an Excel spreadsheet? I am not talking about the number of rows or columns used but of the maximum size of the file? Thank you.

Your question is unclear because you are mixing terms. A "spreadsheet" is not a "file". A sheet (or sheets) are found within a workbook. The workbook becomes a file once it is saved.

If you are asking about the size of the file itself, you should perform a simple Google search. The answer depends on the version of Excel that you are using, but the answer should be easy to find.

What you may find is that once you exceed a certain amount of data in a workbook, the workbook will still function correctly but you may not be able to save it.
