If, as seems to be the case, you are using it as a webmail system then it probably doesn't have any back-up facilities. I don't use their system myself so some of this conjecture, but on other webmail systems there is an 'export' function that lets you download a copy of your contacts. As far as messages are concerned then you should be able to create folders in which to store ones that you want to save, but downloading them might not be possible.

If you want to keep your own backups then ideally you need to use an email client - Outlook, Live Mail, Eudora, Thunderbird - they are all email clients that you install onto your system (or you may already have them) and then use them to download your emails. Once you have them then you just back them up like any other files on your computer.

I'd have thought the best place to ask the question is on their support page, it may even be in the FAQs:

Thanks to both of you and I agree that would be the best place to look, but their support pages don't include anything at all about backing up. Odd, no?!

I guess it's because, having looked at the site, you can use your own email client with their system, & each client would have a different method of backing up your data, so it depends on how you currently access your emails....

Thank you but I'm afraid I don't quite get what you mean as this is the only email provider we use. That is, we use Everyone.net for all emails and Firefox as our browser. Does this maybe mean it's impossible for us to back up??
