Specs: Windows 7
I want to manually sort my pivot table in Excel 2010. However, when I point to the cell border I don't get the star that lets me select it. Do I need to adjust my settings to do this?

It's not easy and takes a light touch, try this:

Click the cell containing the Item you want to move.
Slowly move your mouse along the top border of the cell on the right side
until you see a four-headed black arrow, or star figure.
When you get this shape you can drag to a new location.

I still don't get the star, only a down arrow and a plus symbol, so I can not select a cell. Could there be something in my settings that is preventing me from selecting it?

Sorry, I don't use Pivot Tables enough to be of more help.

You can try here and see if it is of any help:

Hopefully, some one with more experience in using Pivot tables will jump in.
