Solved How do I re install OFFICE 365 Personal Edition?

April 11, 2020 at 18:08:45
Specs: Windows 10, 4.0 GB - 64 bit OS
I tried Office 365 as a trial app and when it expired, I subscribed and got it installed. I did not get a personal key with that transaction or any documentation. Then, because of some problems I reset my laptop completely, erasing all personal and all the apps in it, including my installed Office 365.

It is not EASY to follow their instructions to reinstall Office 365 without the Product Keys, etc. So, is there an easier HELP I can follow to reinstall this application.

Thanks.

✔ Best Answer
Do really need it, as it will cost money?

Consider using Office Libre - which is free. Has equivalent Word/Excel.

Compatible with MS Office files etc. but doesn’t have a Outlook equivalent Most of us go over to using Thunderbird in place of Outlook; again it’s free, although they do appreciate a wee offering if you feel so inclined.

Hi trvlr,

Thanks for the app. For not knowing any substitute for Office 365, I fell to subscribing it. And you're right, 365 is expensive. My next step is cancelling my subscription of Office 365.

I talked to you in the past several times when I posted questions. Hope you stay healthy with this weird Pandemic.

trvlr,

Can you tell me the website address of Thunderbird? Tried: www.thunderbird.com but it did not work.

when you set up an account in T-bird... be it IMAP or POP3 (which I and many prefer) carefully check "all" server settings to ensure they are the way "you" want them

Not using IMAP but I know the default settings for POP3 almost mirror those of IMAP - in that messages are deleted from the server as soon as downloaded to your computer. There are tick boxes galore to change that and other settings too.
