How do I merge two excel spreadsheets

Specs: MS office 2010
I have two excel spread sheets, one contain the clients booking data and the other with clients booking payment. And we need to combine/merge the two so that each supplier have the booking and payment information then delete the duplicated lines. I have no knowledge of Macros, and tried the vlook but didn’t work, because the two set data are not really compatible, is there a way I could upload the files so that whoever the expert can have a look before writing the macros? It is kind of complicated to explain how the two spread sheets like.
