Excel - How do i count the difference in time stamps? Column A - Account number

Column B - Payment amount

Column C - TimestampLets say I have 12 customers, each of those customers (over the course of a year, whatever) will pay a random amount, on a random date, no set pattern what so ever really.

What I'm looking to do is work out the average gap in time that each of them pay.

I cannot just sum 1 time stamp from the one before it, as they could relate to different accounts.

Any help is much appreciated.

David

The quickest way would be to first Sort your data on Column A - Account Number

with a Secondary Sort on Column C your Time. Then it just a matter of subtracting the Times.

Once you have that data then do your AveragesMIKE
