i am working on a excel sheet and i was almost finished unitl i got to the last month. i entered a formula and then a box came up titled updated values and it had other files there. when i picked a file and then the month, it came up as a error #REF!. Ive checked the whole excel sheet and i cant find a mistake. Im confused!

There is a mistake other wise you wouldn't be get #REf You need to trace the dependencies and to cells with the error and you will come eventually find the error. You can all use the built in error trace to track down where the error occurs.

At least this is one Excel 2002 On later versions it may be different but the same principle applies.
