How can I set up a formula to copy data from one worksheet into another cell of another worksheet in the same workbook on a certain date? I can figure out various ways to do this, but after the date passes the data that was there is overwritten with a zero and I loose the last days data.

Why not post what you have tried.

As you haven't given much detail, posting your formula would make it easier to advise you.

I have a workbook with several tabs. I want to copy information from a cell in one tab to a cell in another tab at a certain date and time (lets say 8am every tuesday). Once this information is copied, I want it to stay permanently in that destination cell. Here is an example of what will work, but after the day passes, the cell where I want to keep the information turns to a "0" because the criteria is false: =SUMIF(Electrical!F2,40410,Electrical!C4). I need a formula that will copy the data at a certain date and time, then leave that cell's data alone.

I can't think of a way to do what you want using formulas.

You could have a visual basic macro that runs automatically every time the workbook is opened, and if it is a Tuesday, it will copy the required cell or cells, like this:

Private Sub Workbook_Open()
'test if today is a Tuesday
If Weekday(Now) = vbTuesday Then
    'copy cell(s) as required
    Worksheets("Sheet2").Range("A1").Copy _
End If
End Sub

Is this likely to be of any use?
