hotmail automatically forward email

Asus Laptop with intel pentium processor...

Specs: Windows 7, 4GB
Hello

I have a hotmail email account with rules that send some of the received emails to different folders in the same email account. Is there any way to forward automatically to another email account only those emails, that do not match any of the rules? That is to say, I want hotmail to forward automatically the emails that remain in the main inbox. Those that go to other folders according to the corresponding rules that I defined in hotmail should not be forwarded.

Thanks

I dont think there is particular option for specific email address... but you can forward the mails that you got in your inbox to another one..
Login to your Hotmail account and go straight to your inbox. From the options menu in the top right-hand corer, select More Options.
elect the Email forwarding option. Then check the box next to Forward your mail to another email account. Enter the email address you want the messages to be forwarded to in the box and you can also chose to leave copy of the message in your Hotmail inbox. Press Save.

Actually I did know how to do what you just described. However as I meant in the first post of this thread, that is not exactly what I want to do. What you suggested would forward all incoming emails to the other email account. However I do not want to forward all of them. I want to forward only those that end up in the main hotmail's inbox. Those that are stored in different folders of my hotmail account according to the rules I defined, should not be forwarded.

Is there anyway to do this?

To set up a new filter that forwards certain messages to a different email address from Outlook.com automatically:

Click the settings gear in the Outlook.com toolbar.
Select More mail settings from the menu that appears.
Now select Rules for sorting new messages under Customizing Outlook.
Click New.
Specify the desired criterion for matching emails for forwarding under Step 1: Which messages do you want this rule to apply to?.
To forward all messages from "sender@example.com", for instance, make sure the criterion reads Sender's address contains "sender@example.com".
Make sure Forward to is picked under Step 2: What action do you want to apply?.
Enter the address to which new messages matching the rule should be sent automatically under Forward to.
Click Save.
Outlook.com will keep a copy of emails forwarded by a rule in the Outlook.com inbox.
Edit: You post in other forum also!

I know how to do what you meant. But that does not do what I want to do.

I want to forward "all" emails no matter what the sender address is. The only exception to the "all" in the previous sentence is the emails that get into other folders different from the main inbox because of the rules that I defined.

Is there anyway to do this?

You could maybe Categorize all the emails that you have being sent to certain folders. Then, create a rule and the condition would be " Category is not..." Then select the Action, which would be forward to another account.
