Solved Highlighing Duplicates in Excel 2010

Microsoft Excel 2003 (full)

Specs: Windows XP, 1.0Gb
I have a list of several thousand numbers in one column. Using Conditional Formatting, I am able to identify and highlight duplicates, triplicates, etc.. However, this process highlights any matches. I need to highlight only the duplicate/triplicate, etc and not the original number.

Thank you.

Try this as your Conditional Formatting formula:

=IF(COUNTIF($D$6:$D$15,D6)=1,FALSE,NOT(COUNTIF($D$6:D6,D6)=1))

Unfortunately, it's not one of my creations, "borrowed" it from Chip Pearson:

Why not just filter the column for unique values?

Mmcconaghy and DerbyDad03,

Thank you for your responses; I tried the first approach before the second one was posted and it worked fine. I later tried the second approach and that also worked.
