I need to find the highest value in a column and highlight that cell, whilst at the same time check if there is more than one cell with that same highest value. If there is then return either 'H' or 'Halved' in a cell at the top of that column.

=IF(LARGE(B2:B5,1)=LARGE(B2:B5,2),"H","") Apply the Top/Bottom conditional format rule to each column set to the top "1"

Use this Conditional Formatting rule to highlight the highest value(s) in the range A2:A20 =A2=MAX($A$2:$A$20)

Use this formula in A1 to return Halved if the MAX value appears more than once:

=IF(COUNTIF(A2:A20,MAX(A2:A20))>1,"Halved","")
