Please don't post in all caps. All caps is the internet equivalent of yelling and nobody likes to be yelled at.

In addition, when you use the word "between" you are technically not including the upper and lower bound.

In other words, "between 0 and 2" does not include 0 or 2.

I assume you mean greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 2. Another way to say that is "between 0 and 2 inclusive" when means to include the upper and lower bound.

If my assumption is correct, you can use a Nested IF(AND(...)) statement:

=IF(AND(A1>=0,A1<=2),"A",IF(AND(A1>=3,A1<=5),"B",
IF(AND(A1>=6,A1<=8),"C",IF(AND(A1>=9,A1<=12),"D","12+"))))

I'm as confused as you are.

"I am trying to group 12 year months into fewer groups"

What are "12 year months"?

Perhaps an example of your data would help.

Please click on the following line and read the instructions on how to post data in this forum. Thanks!

Apologies if it was confusing. I dont have the data available now.
But the issue is: I have a list of materials which have an age, from 0 until 20+ years old.
And i wnt to group them into fewer groups:
From 0 until 2 => 0-2
From 3 until 5=> 3-5
From 6 until 9 => 6-9
From 10-12 => 10-12
From 12 and on => 12+
Thank you very much for your help!

That makes it a little clearer, but I still don't know what you mean by "I want to group them into fewer groups".

What does "group them" mean?

Do you want to filter them by age?
Do you want to sort them by age?
Do you want to count them by age?
Do you want to highlight/color them by age?
Do you want to do none of the above?

Please remember that we can't see your worksheet from where we're sitting nor can we read minds.

You have a picture of what you are trying to do in your head but all we have are your words in this forum. You need to give us some details or we can't offer any solutions.
