Formulae to use in excel to tell me tat - 5 is less than -2

Specs: Android
I need to use excel formulae to tells me if a number is within my limits. Let say I have the following :

Upper Limits: +30
Lower limits : - 30

My current limits is - 50. How can I get excel to tells me that - 50 is not within my limits? I. E returns a NO results.

Appreciate ur advices. Thanks.

Do you mean your current value is -50?

To be "In Range", the value in A1 must be greater than/equal to -30 AND less than/equal to 30.

Therefore, the IF must determine if both of those conditions are TRUE for the value to be "In Range"

=IF(AND(A1>=-30,A1<=30),"In Range","Not In Range")

-50 would be "Not In Range"

Thanks for the advice! I will give it a try! Have another question. How abt I need to tell excel to let me know (Yes or No) if my profit and loss figure of USD -100 in cell A1 is within limits and my profit and loss limit is USD -50.

I don't understand your second question.

You want to know if A1 is "within limits" (plural) but then you only give 1 limit "my profit and loss limit is USD -50. "

Please clarify.
