Microsoft Office excel 2003

Good afternoon. I have a spreadsheet for my investments as follows:

Acct Type Value %

RRSP $1,000.00 ?

TFSA $500.00 ?

RRSP $2,600.00 ?

RRSP $3,134.50 ?

Open $123.00 ?

TFSA $1,500.00 ?

Total $8,857.50Totals by Acct

RRSP $6,734.50

TFSA $2,000.00

Open $123.00What I need to know is what formula would I place in the cells in column C to obtain the percentage that each individual investment is of the total for the corresponding account at the bottom? For example, the first investment of $1,000 is what percentage of the total for RRSPs?

I tried searching for this and cannot find anything that could help me. Anything you could offer would be great. Thanks.

With your data like: A B C 1) Acct Type Value % 2) RRSP $1,000.00 3) TFSA $500.00 4) RRSP $2,600.00 5) RRSP $3,134.50 6) Open $123.00 7) TFSA $1,500.00 8) Total $8,857.50 9) 10) Totals By Acct 11) RRSP $6,734.50 12) TFSA $2,000.00 13) Open $123.00

In cell C2 enter the formula:=B2/VLOOKUP(A2,$A$11:$B$13,2,0)

Drag down to row 7

See how that works for you.

MIKE

Mike, that works great. Thank you very much! I really do appreciate it.
