Formatting and single domain website list. Excel

Specs: Windows 7
How to remove formatting around links such as:

xttp://hadoopxxxxxxtraininghyderabad.com/

and make it with a simple text. Also I need to filter the column such that it does not contain duplicates of the same website domain. anything after / is making it unique. So any thoughts to this which make remove characters after / and make column duplicate free.

To remove the formatting (I assume you mean hyperlink), just right-click on the Cell and select "Remove Hyperlink."

I'm not clear on your other question. You want the text to show up only once in the Column?

First, I edited your hyperlink to make it invalid so as to avoid any appearances of spam.

Second, I'm confused by this:

anything after / is making it unique. So any thoughts to this which make remove characters after /

You have three occurrences of "/" in your example. I have no idea which "/" you are referring to. Based on what you asked for, by removing the characters after the "/", you could end up with any of these:

http:/
http://
xttp://hadoopxxxxxxtraininghyderabad.com/

Please explain what you are trying to do with some more detail.

As far as removing duplicates, Excel has a built-in "Remove Duplicates" feature under the Data ribbon.

Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code.
