Hello,
I want to add all values in a C column in Excel. I try this function: =SUM(C2:C248)
The result is however 0. What is wrong with the function?
I appreciate any help!

One of your numbers is probably entered as TEXT

All numbers in Excel are right justified, so if any of your numbers are left justified then it is probably text.

So perhaps all the numbers have been copy/pasted and are entered as text.

Here is a quick and easy way to insure all your numbers are numbers:

In any blank cell, type the value 1
Select the cell in which you typed 1
then click Copy on the Edit menu.
Select cells C2 through C248
On the Edit menu, click Paste Special
Under Operation, click Multiply
Under Paste, click Values
and then click OK

Could be the numbers have a trailing space.
That will mess with =SUM also, see this post:

But, until we hear more from the OP where just guessing.
