Excel - Greater Than And Less Than

August 9, 2018 at 11:33:17
Specs: Windows 10
I am trying to put the following

if a person makes less than 26000 per annual, then the tax allowance will be 25600, however, if a person makes above 26001 and less than 27000 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 24600, and if a person makes above 27001 and less than 29000 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 22600, lastly, if a person makes above 29001 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 19600.

I need to put it in one formula.

Thanks

What is the allowance if the person makes exactly 26000, 26001, 27000, 27001, 29000, or 29001.

Your criteria only mentions "less than" or "above" those values.

Perhaps you should review your criteria and make some adjustments before we offer a solution.

if a person makes less or equal to $26000 then the tax allowance will be 25600,
if the person makes above 26001 but less or equal to 27000 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 24600,
if the person makes above 27001 but less or equal to 29000 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 22600,
if a person makes above 29001 per annual, the tax allowance will be at 19600.

You have only covered half of my list.

We still don't know what the allowance should be for 26001, 27001 or 29001. We know about above those values but we don't know about equal to those values.
