Hi... I need to find out the remainer of months in the year times an amount... Example: 8/20/12 141.00

I would like to know what the formula would be for this date till the end of the year times the 141.00. Can you help?

Thanks,

Mel

I need to find out the remainer of months in the yearYou can use the =DATEDIF() command.

If your data looks like:

A B C 1) 8/20/12 141.00In cell C1 enter the formula:

=DATEDIF(A1,"12/31/2012","m")*B1

MIKE

Please define what you mean by "remainer of months in the year".e.g. 8/20/12

Four months?

=(12-MONTH(A1))*141 ----> 564

Four months and 11 days?

=(12-MONTH(A1)+(DAY(EOMONTH(A1,0))-DAY(A1))/DAY(EOMONTH(A1,0)))*141 ----> 614.03

or something else?

This works... Thank you both for your help.... Have a great evening.
