Specs: Windows XP, Any
http://www.computing.net/answers/of...

I tried to use custom date format (Excel 2003) same as below "

dd/mm/yy or dd-mm-yy

I do not have any problem when date is 11 th and onward , but I have got problem when it is : first up to tenth,,,,,that means if I wrote date like this :

05-01-09 (means Fifth of January), an excel file flips it to 01-05-09 (First of May),,,,but when I type in 11-01-09 or 12-01-09,,,,,,onward an excel file does not flips it to 01-11-09 !!!!!

Try using either the slash or dash, however you have it formatted.
Just entering numbers does not work.

When entering the date use the slash character or dash character, however you have it formatted, not just numbers.

05/01/09 January 5th 2009 is correct using the Slash

050109 not correct - Will be read by excel as May 1st 2009

You have to use the Slash or Dash character to let Excel know what your doing.
