Specs: Windows 7
When trying to select multiple cells in Excel, the anchor keeps moving. If I am trying to select A1 to G50, it may select C3 to D5 or it may select F2 to G50. Any help would be truly appreciated.

This happen because of old mouse. Try with other or newer mouse.

Are you using the mouse or the keyboard to select the area, then this happens?

I am trying to use my mouse, and sometimes everything works just fine. At other times, the cell I want to use as the first cell in a range will not remain anchored, and the selection will move so that the first cell is later in the area I had hoped to select. For instance if I want to select cells A1 to E7 the selection I end up with may be B3 to E7. I have used Excel for years, and have never had this problem before.

Thanks for your help
