Excel 2007 auto spell correction

Specs: Windows XP
I am using Excel 2007. I have a huge list of user names.. some already entered and others I'm adding to the list or correcting. However, I'm having trouble entering one person's name because the spell auto correction keeps changing the spelling. The person has an unusual name "Amde" and excel keeps changing it to "made". I first tried making sure the cells in "text" mode... and they were. That didn't work. So, then I turned off "auto spell correction". That didn't work either. Anyone have any ideas how to stop this? JC

I don't have 2007 on the box I'm sitting in front of but here's how to fix it 2003. I'm sure the process is similar for 2007:

Tools...Options...Spelling tab...AutoCorrect Options button

In the Replace box enter amde and you'll see that Excel is pre-set to replace that with made.

Click on that line to highlight it and click the Delete button.

Nevermore shall Excel replace Amde with Made.

Thanks DerbyDad... that worked great! I'm use to 2003 also. I think 2007 is a real pain!
