Specs: Windows XP
In my spreadsheet I have 17 cells in a row. If I enter a certain date in cell 1 a text string will appear in one of the other 16 cells, if the date in cell 1 is within a certain date range. How can I make the text string that appears in any one of the cells in the row of cells appear in a cell at the end of the row? The formula is the same in each cell accept for the date range: =IF(AND(C8>=DATE(2011,6,21),C8<=DATE(2011,7,4)),"Period 6 and 7 are 196 hours credit each period","")

✔ Best Answer
Would something like this work?

=INDEX(D8:I23,1,MATCH("Period*",D8:I23,0))
