i see the excel formula not the answer

I'm combining two cells of numbers(changed to text)into a 3rd cell

my formula

A1&, " ", &B2 or

CONCATENATE(A2," ",B2)and all I see is the formula can someone help

Hi, I am assuming that your formulas are =A1&, " ", &B2 and that you just didn't include the = in your post.

The likely problem is that Excel has these cells formatted as Text and when you enter the formulas Excel treats them as a text string and not a formula.

Clear the cells.

Select the cells and format them as numbers.

Enter a number in each cell.

Clear the cells again

Enter your formulas again.This

shouldresult in the formulas being correctly recognized. If you post again it would be helpful if you used a title which describes your problem. It makes it easier in the future to search the forum for relevant issues.

Regards

Try using

=A1&" "&B1This will put A1 and B1 in the same cell with a space in between.

Bryan

Thank you both, I had them as text but must have had a glitch. I didn't realize the subject line; I will try in the future to be more specific.

Thank you again
