Solved Excel 03 - diff dropdown lists in single cell

July 26, 2011 at 19:56:44
Specs: Windows XP Professional
I'm working in Excel 2003 and am trying to make Column B have different Data Validation drop-down lists based on the values from Column A.

Example (all values are just made-up, the real values are much longer, with many more options):
Column A has a drop-down list with the choices School, Work, and Home.
Column B - If the value in Column A = School, then drop-drop list has choices Homework, Project, Notes, Tests. If the value in Column A = Work, then drop-down list has choices Daily, Weekly, Quarterly, Special. If the value in Column A = Home, then drop-down list has choices Rent, Groceries, Utilities, Insurance.

I currently have the drop-down list for my first column done, and the second column currently has ALL of the choices for all of the drop-downs for the first column (which is WAY too many choices to scroll through).

Thank you for any assistance!
