Error message adding new font for MS Word

October 13, 2010 at 14:46:25
Specs: Windows XP
Ok, so I've been trying to add a font for Microsoft Word. I downloaded the file, extracted it (or unzipped it) and I got this error message when I tried to add it to my fonts folder :

The ____ file is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait until Windows in finished using the file and try again.

I then tried to close the zip file and the browser I downloaded it from and drag it into the fonts folder, but I got the same message.

I had this same problem and the problem is there is a checked box near the section that shows the folders, uncheck it. When the file is trying to be accessed it is also trying to be copied to the folder, which is unnecessary.
