Specs: Windows 7
I am trying to import a pst file into Outlook 2007, the file is defininately in .PST format, but when I click import in Outlook I get an error: "Personal_Folders2.pst is not in PST format" I am not that technically savy and am at my witts end. The pst file was created in Outlook 2007 and I am trying to import it into 2007 so I don't understand what it is doing. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

I get the exact same error. The really insane thing is that when I select browse, and click on the folder my file is located in, the file type is set (exclusively) to .pst files and the file I am trying to import is visible in the list. Yet, I get an error that this file is not a personal folders file... any other suggestions?

Sounds like it's corrupt. Run scanpst on it...

I ran the scanpst and selected the .pst file, I got the following message: "This file cannot be recovered because it is missing some critical internal information" Any chance of recovering this?
