email invisible view--no sender or subject ID

Microsoft Outlook 2007

Specs: Windows Vista
For 3 or 4 days my Outlook e-mail has been coming in at the usual pace, but all I can see of it is the word "none" in the received column. I have the view set up so I can look at sender and subject before seeing the message--but none of that is visible. Only this long string of "none" entries. I have tried all manner of refresh and restore things. I know the messages are there. They sometimes flash through in the normal format before disappearing behind this one-word. How do I get them back to where I can again read them?

What fields (columns) are being shown in the Inbox?
