Solved dots counter without zeroes

Specs: Windows XP, 1.00 GB
Hello
I have this code in column A LEN(B2)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(B2;".";"")) ,,, to count the dots in column B
but sometimes there's no data in column B ,, so the compiler give me 0 ,, but I dont these zeros to appear ,, any suggestion ?

There's a number of ways to elimnate the zero's.

2 techniques are describe here:

Or you can wrap an IF function around your formula so that it displays a blank cell if the result is 0.

=IF(LEN...) = 0, "", LEN...))

but there's a problem , when I record a macro , it works
but when I run the macro all the column rows have this value #.##0 ;-#.##0;
