Microsoft Office ultimate 2007

How can I do this in EXCEL.....If the employee had the HIGHEST Net Pay of all employees display the WORD:

"HIGHEST" otherwise display NOTHING

I start with =MAX and the argument but I don't know how to get the word to display.

With a list of salaries in A1:A5, put this in B1 and drag it down... =IF(A1=MAX($A$1:$A$5),"Highest","")

This will place "Highest" next to the cell with the Highest value in A1:A5.

If there is a tie, you'll get "Highest" next to all tied values.

Assuming your amounts are in the cells A1 thru A5

In B1 enter the formula=IF(A1=MAX($A$1:$A$5),"Higest","")

Drag the formula down

MIKE
