Creating Pivot Tables - Problems

Specs: Windows 7
Hi,

Can you please help?

I'm trying to create a pivot table from the same workbook and going through the menu bar - Insert, pivot table.

However, when I have selected my data area and where I need the pivot table to be placed I cannot press the Ok button. Nothing is happening. No error message is coming either.

Thanks in advance.

Here is a tutorial on how to create pivot tables:

Your Data can have NO empty rows or columns
and have you chosen Fields for the Pivot Table?

I have even tried to create a pivot table with two columns and 5 rows. It's still not working.

However, if I copy the data into another spreadsheet and try to create a pivot table it works.

It might be something to do with protection of the workbook or something like that.

I don't use Pivot Tables a great deal, so I have only limited knowledge.

What about the protection of the worksheet do you think is causing the problem? Do you have the ability to remove all protections to test your theory?
