Specs: Windows XP
Start Kitchen Bathroom
30/08/2011 YES NO
NO NO
NO NO
28/11/2011 NO YES
NO
25/01/2012 YES
NO

Hi, I'm abit stuck with this, I'll try and explain what I want. I need a formula in Excel that will count all the dates in the date column, if they have a YES in the Kitchen column, likewise I need to do the same with the Bathroom column. So the answers should be 2 for the kitchen and 1 for the bathroom. Hope this makes sense

What version of Excel do you have, if you have 2007 or 2010 there is a =COUNTIFS() function that should work for you.

for the Kitchen something like:

=COUNTIFS(A2:A8,">0",B2:B8,"=YES")

For the Bathroom

=COUNTIFS(A2:A8,">0",C2:C8,"=YES")
