Count number of occurrences

I have a large spreadsheet that list customer and call dates. Each call is displayed in a separate row with the corresponding customer next to it - so each customer may show up multiple times with different call times.

I want an equation that will count if 4 calls (occurrences) have been made to each customer and if it is the answer is "1".

I have been trying to make it working with COUNTIFS, but not getting the results.

Thanks for the help in advance.
Matt

You could use Data...Filter to create a list of unique names and then use COUNTIF against that list.

e.g. With your full list of names in A1:A50, use Data...Filter to create a list of unique names starting in B1.

Then in C1, you could enter this and drag it down:

=IF(COUNTIF($A$1:$A$50,B1)>3,1,"")

This would tell you which customers have been called at least 4 times.
